Being a big fan of David Gilmour, it was necessary to try many thing to have the best possible equipment. It asks for time but a lot in the end, is better to take the time to be on choices which we make. You should not let the equipment take control.
For guitars, choices are simple :
we look at what the guitarists we love use then we copy. I thus chose guitars or signature or who looks like guitars used by my guitarists to prefer and I have to add my small touch staff on certain guitars as changes of pickups.
